The Etukortit app and the etukortit.com website are provided by Northmade Oy (business ID 3646088-5), Finland. All questions, complaints, and claims about the app should be directed to us at tuki@etukortit.com, not to Apple.
Acceptance and licence
By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms, which form an agreement between you and Northmade Oy. The app is intended for people aged 13 and over.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app may not be rented, resold, sublicensed, or reverse-engineered except as mandatory law permits.
What the app is not, and your responsibilities
The app does not replace the card issuer, a payment card, or an identity document. Acceptance at checkout and any associated benefit are governed by the card issuer's terms, and we do not guarantee that a shop will accept a card read from a screen.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you add and for having the right to use that card, barcode, and any logo. Do not add payment-card security details or identity documents. The app must not be used unlawfully, to use another person's card without authorisation, to create forged codes, or to circumvent the service's protections. A shared backup file shows the card data in plain text.
Apple services and third-party terms
iCloud, Apple Wallet, and the App Store are Apple services, and you agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement for the services you use. Not every card or barcode format can be added to Apple Wallet, and we are not responsible for the content or availability of a third-party service.
Purchase, evaluation, and refunds
The app is bought from the App Store with a single one-time payment, and the current price is shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. It is not a subscription: the purchase does not renew and creates no recurring charge. Every feature is included, with no limit on the number of cards, and the app carries no advertising and no extras sold separately.
Before buying, you can use the app free of charge for two weeks. The evaluation asks for no payment method and does not turn into a purchase by itself. When it ends, your cards stay on your device, but using them in the app requires the purchase. If you used the app before it became paid, it stays available to you without one.
The purchase is sold by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). As a consumer you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content; that right may lapse once performance has begun with your express consent. Your mandatory consumer rights apply in any case.
Updates, maintenance, and statutory conformity
We may fix, update, change, or discontinue the app or an individual feature, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with future versions of iOS. If we discontinue it we will say so a reasonable time in advance; your cards live on your device, so they do not disappear with the service.
We are solely responsible for maintenance and support of the app; Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for the app. The Finnish Consumer Protection Act's provisions on digital content require us to supply the app in conformity with the contract and to provide the updates conformity requires for as long as the consumer can reasonably expect.
Liability, claims, and intellectual property
The app is provided as it stands. We are solely responsible for any product warranties to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed; Apple has no warranty obligation other than a possible refund of the purchase price. We, not Apple, are also responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability claims and claims arising under consumer protection legislation.
To the extent the law permits limiting liability, we are not responsible for a card issuer's decision, a missed benefit, an interruption in a third-party service, or indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
The app, the website, our content, and our brand belong to Northmade Oy or its licensors. Card issuers' names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and their appearance implies no partnership or endorsement. In the event of a third-party claim that the app infringes that party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, and discharge of that claim.
Export control and Apple as a third-party beneficiary
This agreement is concluded between you and Northmade Oy only, not with Apple, and we are solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Governing law and disputes
Finnish law applies to these terms, which does not weaken the mandatory protection of a consumer's country of residence. If a dispute arises, contact us first at tuki@etukortit.com.
If the matter is not resolved, as a consumer you may refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi); before doing so, contact the consumer advisory services (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). You may also bring an action in the district court of your place of residence.
Other terms
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes and will announce a material change a reasonable time before it takes effect; you can stop using the app by deleting it. An invalid provision is replaced by one that comes closest to its purpose, and the remaining provisions stay in force.
These terms are published in Finnish, Swedish, and English. If the versions differ, the Finnish version prevails, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
