Provider and acceptance of the terms
The Etukortit app and the etukortit.com website are provided by Northmade Oy (business ID 3646088-5), Finland. All questions, complaints, and claims about the app should be directed to us at tuki@etukortit.com.
By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms, which form an agreement between you and Northmade Oy.
Your licence to use the iOS version downloaded from the App Store is governed by Apple's standard licence agreement, which Apple applies to apps downloaded from the App Store. These terms supplement that agreement and cover the service and the website; if there is a conflict concerning the licence, Apple's licence agreement applies. For the Android version downloaded from Google Play, Northmade Oy grants you a personal, non-exclusive licence under these terms. Google’s terms also apply to use of and purchases through Google Play.
What the app is not, and your responsibilities
The app does not replace the card issuer, a payment card, or an identity document. Acceptance at checkout and any associated benefit are governed by the card issuer's terms, and we do not guarantee that a shop will accept a card read from a screen.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for having the right to use the card, barcode, and other information added to your card. Do not add payment-card security details or identity documents. The app must not be used unlawfully, to use another person's card without authorisation, to create forged codes, or to circumvent the service's protections. The backup file is not encrypted, so anyone who obtains the file can read the card data it contains.
iCloud, Apple Wallet, and the App Store are Apple services, and Google Wallet and Google Play are Google services. You agree to comply with the terms that apply to the services you use. Not every card or barcode format can necessarily be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and we are not responsible for the content or availability of a third-party service.
Google Wallet export is available only on devices and in regions supported by Google and while publishing access is in effect. Before publishing access is granted, export works only with approved test accounts.
Purchase, trial, and refunds
The app is free to download from the App Store or Google Play. After the two-week trial, the complete app is unlocked with a single payment made inside the app through Apple’s payment system on iOS and Google Play’s payment system on Android, and the current price is shown at the time of purchase. It is not a subscription: the purchase does not renew and creates no recurring charge. Every feature is included, with no limit on the number of cards, and the app carries no advertising and no extras sold separately.
Before buying, you can use the app free of charge for two weeks. Wallet export requires a purchase even during the trial. The trial asks for no payment method and does not turn into a purchase by itself. When it ends, your cards stay on your device, but using them in the app requires the purchase.
If you are not satisfied with the purchase or would like to request a refund, contact us first at tuki@etukortit.com so that we can investigate the matter and try to resolve it. You can request an App Store purchase refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a Google Play purchase, you can request a refund under Google Play’s guidance at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 or from us. Your statutory withdrawal and refund rights are governed by applicable consumer law. Contacting us does not extend the statutory withdrawal period. We are responsible for defects in and updates to the app. Your mandatory consumer rights apply in all cases.
Updates and statutory conformity
We may fix, update, change, or discontinue the app or an individual feature, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with future versions of iOS or Android. If we discontinue it we will say so a reasonable time in advance; your cards live on your device, so they do not disappear with the service.
We are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. The Finnish Consumer Protection Act's provisions on digital content require us to supply the app in conformity with the contract and to provide the updates required for conformity for a reasonable period, taking into account the type and purpose of the app and the nature of the contract.
Limitation of liability and intellectual property
The app is provided as it stands from time to time. Mandatory provisions of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act always apply to consumers, and nothing in these terms limits them. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for a card issuer's decision, a missed benefit, an interruption in a third-party service, or indirect damage.
The app, the website, our content, and our brand belong to Northmade Oy or its licensors. The website's text, images, and design may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission. Card issuers' names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply cooperation or endorsement.
Governing law and disputes
Finnish law applies to these terms, which does not weaken the mandatory protection of a consumer's country of residence. If a dispute arises, contact us first at tuki@etukortit.com.
If the matter is not resolved, as a consumer you may refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi); before doing so, contact the consumer advisory services (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi). You may also bring an action in the district court of your place of residence.
Other terms
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes and will announce a material change a reasonable time before it takes effect; you can stop using the app by deleting it. An invalid provision is replaced by one that comes closest to its purpose, and the remaining provisions stay in force.
These terms are published in Finnish, Swedish, and English. If the versions differ, the Finnish version prevails, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
